Wheel/Tire Upgrade: 2024 AT4 20in takeoffs

Winter’s coming and my K2XX needed tires.
While I am a fan of the snowflakes - I do believe they are a bit overplayed.

Instead of grabbing just a set of tires; I grabbed a set of 2024 Sierra AT4 takeoffs. They came with 285/60R20 Toyo Open Countries, about $450 a tire (1800). I paid $1,400 all in, and the rims are very clean, shiny and have no curb rash or blemishes!

BEFORE: Snowflakes + Atturos

AFTER:

I’m happy with how it looks and rides. The Toyos were definitely an improvement over the Atturos!

What do you guys think?

Nice score, Todd — those AT4 takeoffs look right at home on a K2XX. For anyone considering the same swap, it is about as plug-and-play as factory wheels get. Both trucks run a 6x139.7 bolt pattern with a 78.1 mm hub bore, so they are true hub-centric with no rings needed, and the offset sits in the same ballpark as your snowflakes, roughly +24 to +27 mm depending on trim, so they tuck inside the arches just like stock.

Two things worth checking though. First, the TPMS sensors on a 2024 use a different part number than the K2XX units, so either swap your original sensors into the AT4 wheels or have the new ones relearned with a scan tool — a cheap EL-50448-style tool works fine. Second, double-check the tyre load index and overall diameter against your door placard. If the takeoffs are taller than stock, the speedometer will read slightly low, and dropping load rating is never wise on a half-ton that tows.

I agree on the Toyos too — solid choice for winter. Enjoy the new stance.
