I’m repainting the bumper on my K2XX today.
No video; but it was horrendous. I have the Iron Cross slimline bumper and the paint on it from Iron Cross was terrible. It got sanded down/wire wheeled yesterday, and today it got Raptor lined with 2 coats of Black, followed up by 2K Clear an hour later. Hoping it lasts, will post photos tomorrow.
Just drove it to work and back yesterday but my new front HVAC vents came in from eBay yesterday so I’ll probably swap them out today. Got all 3 for $30 since the center ones were $20 by themselves. The outer ones are fine on mine but I’ll probably swap them all since it’s so easy and then they’ll all be new. Center one is missing most of its fins.
I ended up refinishing the front bumper with Raptor Liner, hope it lasts this time. I didn’t catch it on video as it was a bit hectic last week, but it was pretty straight forward.
This is the Iron Cross “Slimline” bumper on my 1500 K2XX. Paint quality was terrible from Iron Cross. After 2 Used sanding discs on a grinder, and a bit of blasting using my sandblaster for the backside. Did 3 coats of self etching metal primer, followed up by 2 coats of Black Raptor Liner and 2K Clear 1 hour after spraying the Raptor Liner.
