T1XX Infotainment Overview:
The 2019+ Silverado/Sierra uses the Chevy Infotainment 3 (or Infotainment 3 Plus) system on the 8" or 8" diagonal display, with some trims getting larger screens.
How to Check for Updates:
Option 1: Dealer (Easiest)
GM dealers can check and apply all available calibration and infotainment updates at no charge under warranty. If you bring the truck in for any service, ask them to check for pending updates.
Option 2: Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates
Newer T1XX trucks with the Connected Services subscription can receive OTA infotainment updates wirelessly when connected to WiFi or using the hotspot.
Option 3: USB Update
GM releases infotainment updates on their consumer website. You can download the update to a USB drive and install it yourself:
- Visit the GM Infotainment portal (accessible through mychevrolet.com or myGMC.com)
- Enter your VIN to find applicable updates
- Download to USB flash drive
- Insert USB in truck, follow on-screen prompts
