Leveling & Lifting Your 2019+ Silverado/Sierra: Best Options & Fitment

The 2019+ T1XX Silverado and Sierra are extremely popular to level and lift. The new platform has a different front suspension than older generations — here’s what you need to know about leveling, tire fitment, and lift options.

T1XX Front Suspension — What Changed

The T1XX uses a multi-link independent front suspension (not the traditional double-A-arm). This design gives better ride quality but changes how leveling kits interact with the geometry.

Key difference: The T1XX does NOT have traditional strut spacers like older trucks. Instead, the front coilovers (2019+) use a different spacer design or require a specific leveling kit designed for the T1XX platform.

Leveling Kit Options

Method 1 — Upper Strut Spacers

Still the most common approach. The Maxracing 2" Front Leveling Kit for 2019+ Silverado/Sierra is a direct-fit billet spacer kit — no modifications required.

  • Most popular option for 2"–2.5" leveling
  • Works with factory shocks
  • Alignment required after install

Method 2 — OEM UCA with Leveling

Some owners combine a leveling spacer with aftermarket upper control arms (especially for aggressive lifts 3"+). This maintains proper ball joint angles and improves geometry on bigger lifts.

What Tires Fit

Lift Recommended Tire Notes
Stock (no lift) 275/55R20 Factory fitment
1.5"–2" level 285/60R20 Clean fit, no trimming
2.5" level 295/65R20 or 305/55R20 May need minor trimming
3.5"–4" lift 33"–35" Requires UCA on some builds

The T1XX has more front wheel well space than previous generations, which helps with clearance.

Lift Kits (3"+)

For lifts above 2.5", aftermarket UCAs are recommended to maintain proper ball joint angles and prevent premature wear.

Common lift kit brands for T1XX:

  • Rough Country 3.5" and 5" systems
  • ReadyLift 3.5" SST lift
  • Cognito Motorsports (premium option for performance builds)

Trail Boss Owners

If you have a Trail Boss, it comes with a factory 2" lift from GM. A leveling kit on a Trail Boss will add to that factory lift — read your kit specs carefully. Many Trail Boss owners run a 1" spacer for a total of ~3" front lift.

Always Get an Alignment

No exceptions — align the truck every time you touch the suspension. T1XX alignment adjustments are at the lower control arm (rear eccentric bolt for camber).
