Identifying Your GMT400 Radio Opening
Early GMT400 (1988-1991) trucks almost universally have single DIN openings. Later models (1992-1998) are more variable — check the dash before ordering anything.
Single DIN Route:
For single DIN trucks, a quality single DIN receiver delivers Bluetooth, USB, and modern features in the factory opening. The Sony DSX-GS80 or Pioneer DEH-S7200BHS are excellent choices.
Double DIN Route:
If your GMT400 has a double DIN opening, the Kissound 7" Double DIN delivers wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto in the factory cavity. The Metra 99-3000T dash kit is the standard for GMT400 double DIN installations.
Dash Kit Requirements:
For any GMT400 installation:
