Best Wheels for Classic C10 – Vintage vs Modern Billet

Wheel choice defines the look of your classic C10 build. Here are the main paths and what fits the different build styles.

Vintage Steel/Rallye Wheels – Period Correct

For a factory-look or stock restoration, the 15x7 or 15x8 Rallye wheel is the quintessential classic truck choice. Reproductions are available in the original Rally wheel pattern from Coker Tire and several other suppliers.

These pair perfectly with raised-white-letter tires (BFG Silvertown, Coker Classic) for a true 1960s–1970s look.

Billet Aluminum – Clean Street/Resto-Mod

Billet aluminum wheels in 17–20" fitments are popular for resto-mod builds. American Racing, Weld Racing, and TORQ-THRUST are the classic go-to brands. The Torq-Thrust D pattern is almost synonymous with classic truck builds.

For a 1947–1972 C10, a 17x8 or 18x9 wheel in 5x5 or 5x4.75 bolt pattern (depending on front brake setup) is common.

Budnik and Boyd Coddington Styles

For high-end custom builds, billet wheel companies offer deep-dish, multi-spoke designs that look incredible on lowered trucks.

Tire Considerations

On a lowered classic C10, you want a low-profile tire with a stiff sidewall to complement the stance:

  • 245/45R17 or 255/45R18 for 17–18" wheels
  • 275/40R20 for large wheel setups

The BFGoodrich KO2 LT265/65R18 is also an option for 4WD classic K10 builds with a lifted stance.
