The 6.2L EcoTec3 Gen V in the 2019+ T1XX Silverado/Sierra High Country/Trail Boss/Denali is one of the best factory truck engines available. A cold air intake is a great starting point for more power and sound. Here are the best options.
K&N 30-3110 Dry-Flow Intake for T1XX 5.3/6.2:
K&N 30-3110 Cold Air Intake – 2019–2025 Silverado/Sierra 5.3L & 6.2L – Purpose-built for the T1XX platform. Dry-flow filter means no oiling – just clean and reinstall. High flow for maximum performance.
Dyno Results on 6.2 T1XX:
- Gains typically range from 12–20 WHP on a stock 6.2L
- Improved throttle response (most noticeable improvement)
- Better induction sound at WOT
Installation:
30–45 minutes. The factory airbox is removed and replaced with the K&N tube and filter assembly. The MAF sensor transfers to the new tube.
Alternative for 5.3L T1XX:
Same K&N 30-3110 fits both engines. The 5.3L will see similar gains in the 10–15 WHP range.
Pair It with a Tune:
For maximum gains, pair the intake with a DiabloSport inTune i3 or HPTuners custom tune. A tune recalibrates the AFR and ignition timing to take advantage of the improved airflow, typically adding another 15–25 HP on top of the intake gains.
Dry vs Oiled Filter:
The K&N dry-flow style is cleaner to maintain – no re-oiling required. The oiled version provides slightly better filtration but requires periodic re-oiling.
