GM VIN Decoder, free

Hi guys!

The FREE VIN Decoder is now Live at Fullsizechevy!

A VIN Decoder helps you know exactly what you’re looking at before you purchase a truck or vehicle. Decode a VIN to verify the truck’s original factory configuration (identify the engine, series, body style and other factory specs) and catch discrepancies between what a seller says and what the truck actually is.

It’s fairly simple to use (like the RPO Decoder). Free for use and works for all makes and models. If its a GM Trucks: it gets matched to the generational hubs (400/800/900, etc). Cars will work, but won’t be matched to the truck hubs.

Simply snap a pic of your VIN, upload it to the vin decoder page and we OCR it for you, then compare the VIN to the database.

Once it’s identified we return the generation and engine option code:

After the generation and engine option we return the full info stack on what it is, what configuration did it leave the factory with, GVWR, and what factory it was made out of.

Lastly, the "Post this in your build thread" section, allows you to copy all of the data, which is genuinely helpful if you wanted to save to a spreadsheet or to post on the forum.

Any questions or concerns with it, please let me know over on the VIN Decoder bug thread.

Thanks
Todd
