Lifting the 2019+ T1XX Sierra/Silverado 1500 requires understanding the IFS (independent front suspension) limitations. Here’s the best lift kit options for the platform.
T1XX Suspension Basics:
The T1XX 1500 uses a short/long arm (SLA) IFS up front with coilover struts. Unlike older solid-axle trucks, the IFS limits how much lift you can safely run.
Lift Kit Options:
2" Leveling (Spacer Kit) – Most Popular:
Maxracing 2" Leveling Kit for T1XX 1500 – The starting point. Safe, straightforward, works with stock components.
3.5" Lift (Strut Spacer + UCAs):
3.5" Front + 3" Rear Lift Kit for 2007–2018/2019+ Silverado/Sierra – For more aggressive tire fitment. Upper control arms should be replaced at this height.
6" Lift (Full Suspension):
Complete kit with UCAs, new struts, extended front brake lines, and rear blocks. This is where Cognito Motorsports, McGaughy’s, and Rough Country all have dedicated T1XX kits.
Important: Trail Boss and AT4 Already Lifted:
The Trail Boss (Silverado) and AT4 (Sierra) come with a factory Multimatic DSSV suspension that provides about 2" of lift from the factory. These trucks should NOT have additional spacer kits added – they already have the suspension geometry optimized.
Tire Fitment:
- 2" level: 275/65R18 or 285/65R18
- 3.5" lift: 33" (285/70R17 or 315/70R17)
- 6" lift: 35" tires
UCAs at 3.5"+:
Upper control arms are strongly recommended at any lift over 3" to maintain proper ball joint angle and alignment.
