What is a Gooseneck Hitch?
A gooseneck hitch uses a 2-5/16" steel ball that mounts in the bed floor, typically over the rear axle. The gooseneck trailer couples via a wrap-around coupler. Gooseneck can tow significantly more than conventional 5th wheel in some configurations.

The Silverado 3500 HD is rated for up to 36,000 lbs gooseneck towing in certain configurations with the Max Tow package. Always verify:
- Your specific build’s towing capacity (from the GM tow guide)
- The GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating)
